Auto Express New Car Award Winners, 2016.
The New Car Awards celebrate the best of new models on the market and are designed to help car buyers make a more informed choice in an increasingly competative field.
Auto express commented, "Not only are there more models on the market than ever before but those cars are available in more different bodystyles, with a greater array of different powertrains and offering buyers more scope to personalise their vehicles with optional extras. Making the right car buying decision has never been trickier."
This year, Mercedes-Benz scooped the awards for Executive Car of the Year and Luxury Car of the Year.
Executive Car of the year went to the newly released E-Class Saloon, recognised for its refined and luxurious appearance as well as its host of gorundbreaking technology.
"Mercedes has moved the goalposts in the executive market with its new E-Class, which blends imperious quality and refinement in a stylish and efficient package. And it pushes the boundaries for driving tech, too."
The S-Class was awarded the accolade of Luxury Car of the Year - its third win in as many years.
"It doesn’t matter whether you look at the car’s cutting-edge technology, its imposing design or its beautifully crafted interior, the latest S-Class sets new standards in every area."
"It’s not just passengers who benefit from Mercedes’ single-minded pursuit of perfection, as the S-Class is as good to drive as it is to be chauffeured in. The slick steering and muted yet muscular V6 diesel give it the sort of agility and pace you’d expect from a car half its size."
With many new additions to our model line up set for the coming months, we look forward to the results in 2017.
