King's College Girls' Football Success.
On Monday they fought hard to lift the Independent Schools Football Association 11 a side Cup for the second time in three years when they beat Repton School in the final that was played at the home of Thame United FC.
After going behind to an early goal and trailing 1-0 at half time, the King’s girls fought back strongly to run out the deserved 3-1 victors.
Two days later King’s won the Somerset Under 19 Girls County Cup after beating Richard Huish College, Taunton, in the final that was played at Street FC.
King’s scored the only goal in a tense first half, but after the break they underlined their supremacy by finding the net four more times to win 5-0.
Chris Heayns the Director of Football at King’s School said: “The girls have worked very hard this season and thoroughly deserved their success. They are an incredibly talented group to work with but more importantly have an amazing team spirit and are a credit to the school and themselves.”
Mercededs-Benz of Taunton are extremely proud to support such a dynamic team and we wish them all the best for the future.
